Roasted Garlic

I don't know about you but I love the mellow nutty flavor of roasted garlic. I could eat it all right out of the oven while it's warm and soft.

You can add it to any recipe calling for garlic or you can mash it and blend it into some butter to make a great garlic spread.  It is so easy to do so lets get started!

As many garlic bulbs as you want to roast
Olive oil
Kosher salt

Remove the loose outer skin.  Not all of it because you need to have some to hold it all together

cut the top off the top off the bulb

Place the garlic on top of  a piece of aluminum foil that is big enough to wrap around all the garlic. Place foil on top of a cookie sheet.

Drizzle with Olive oil (about 1/2 teaspoon for each bulb) and sprinkle with salt

wrap aluminum foil around the garlic

Place in a 350 degree pre-heated oven and bake for one hour

Remove from oven and let cool

Open the foil carefully and discover the soft golden roasted garlic!

now it is ready to use for enhancing the flavor of foods.
